Happy 92nd Birthday to Emma's Great-Great Grandma Helen

Today our family celebrated Emma's GREAT-GREAT Grandma Helen's 92nd birthday! It is such a rare privilege for a child to have the opportunity to meet a great-great grandparent. Grandma Helen is such a special lady and in my opinion is tough as nails! Not only has she made it to the ripe old age of 92, but she is in perfect health and is in better shape than most people in their mid forties. The birthday celebration was thrown by her granddaughter, Kim, and son, Jim. It was held on her ranch just outside of Seguin which she has owned and resided on for the past 58 years. As you can see from the photos, the property is just beautiful and provided the perfect setting for such a special event. Since arriving in Texas, Emma has grown quite fond of Grandma Helen. She loves sitting on Grandma Helen's knee and playing "Giddy up horsey." We are fortunate enough to be able to visit with her several times a week and because of this, Emma has gotten to know her quite well and has become rather attached.
The above photo was taken in front of an old wagon that belonged to Helen and her husband while they were running the family business, "Crump Lumber." Grandma Helen has done so much with her life and has been successful with each and every endeavor she set out to accomplish. I admire her strength, independence, and incredible work ethic so much and I hope to instill a little bit of her into Emma.

We are truly blessed to still be surrounded by so many family members that most children never have the opportunity to meet. The above picture is of Emma, Gaga, and her Great Grandma Teresa. How many little girls have the chance to sit in between both their great and great-great grandparents? What a beautiful day surrounded by family and filled by enormous amounts of love! Happy 92nd Birthday Grandma Helen! We hope to spend many more healthy, happy years with you and cannot wait until the day you make it to 1-0-0!
