SSgt Ohnheiser And His Promotion- 8-19-10

Well, it looks like it is going to be SSgt Ohnheiser from now on! We are proud to announce that Issac has been promoted to NCO. Though he tested for his promotion back in May (just a few weeks after Emma was born- not an easy time to be preparing for such an important test) we just received the results yesterday at 9:00am. Issac and I knew that the results were to be coming out at this time so him and I both received little sleep the previous night. Instead we stayed up anxiously awaiting the impending results much like two children awaiting the arrival of Santa on Christmas Eve. We are (and by we, I mean our ENTIRE family) so incredibly proud of him! What a year this has been for his Air Force career! Here are just a handful of the achievements he has racked up throughout the past year.
-Airmen of The Month (July 2010)
-Airmen of The Quarter (Oct 2009) for his ENTIRE squadron which I believe has about 700 people in it.
- He received a Medal of Accommodation (big deal!)
- And has made A's in all of his classes and is getting very, very close to finishing his criminal justice degree which will then make him eligable to become an officer.
Again, I cannot even explain how incredibly proud of him I am. He is an amazing leader and is truly an asset to the United States Air Force. To show Issac how proud we are of him I headed out to the store while he was at work yesterday afternoon and picked up a few items. These items included three balloons, some art supplies for a congratulatory poster, chocolate bars that came in the form of fake $1,000,000 bills (very appropriate for a promotion), and a few ingredients for cupcakes. This was what he saw when he walked in the door!

Ta-DA! Red velvet cupcakes topped with cream cheese frosting and coconut, and this cute little set up which I put together for him. As for the poster, just remember, it's the thought that counts right?

Congratulations on making SSgt Daddy! We love you and are so proud of you! We believe in you and know that you can and will always be able to achieve anything you set your mind to. The sky is the limit!
