July 30, 2010 is truly a day that will forever be remembered! Why you may be asking? Because our sweet Emma slept through the night for the very first time! I laid her down in her crib at 10:00pm and did not hear a peep out of her until 7:00 the following morning! What a tremendous milestone to have finally reached! Until last week we were still getting up with her every 3-6 hours on a consistent basis. Up until that night the longest we had been able to get her to sleep continually was six hours, and this only occurred two or three times. Needless to say Issac and I were extremely fatigued and were incapable of seeing even the faintest light at the end of a very long, long tunnel. Since sleeping through the night last week, she has continued to do so with complete ease. We had one night where we were only able to get about 7 ½ hours out of her but she preceded to take a lengthy morning nap making up for the lack of sleep the night before. I am so elated to have her finally sleeping through the night! I am not naïve in thinking that from this point on, every night will be an easy night, but the fact that we are making progress is just wonderful! Good job Emma! Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you!
