Before I show off these two precious little girls I would just like to give everyone a little bit of background information. Below is a photograph of our daughter Emma and her little buddy Kynslee. Kyns is the daughter of one of my oldest friends, Lacey. At the age of four Lacey along with her younger sister Stacey began ridding horses at the English ridding stable that is owned by my family. Since Stacey, Lacey, and myself were so close in age and shared many common interests, we spent the majority of our early childhood years ridding horses, having sleep overs, and playing together. Ever since, the three of us have remained friends despite my moving to North Carolina over four years ago. Now this is where the crazy part starts to come in... Last fall Lacey and I both became pregnant right around the same time. When we were each finally given our due dates they were just ONE day apart! What are the odds that one of my oldest friends would also get pregnant, end up with a baby girl, and have a due date that is just one day before my own? Pretty low! But wait, it gets even crazier! Though neither Lacey or myself were due until the middle of May, our little girls both decided that they were ready to come out of the oven and take on the world earlier than expected. Not only did they both arrive naturally (well, semi) eleven days early, but they were born exactly one day apart (almost 24 hours on the dot) and came in the correct order as predicted by our due dates! What an amazing story! Since Emma and Kynslee are so close in age their commonalities make for great play dates! Below are several photos taken during their play session earlier this week. After watching them interact with one another it is clear to me that given the opportunity, these two cuties are likely to get into a lot of trouble together just like their Mommy's did when they were little! Enjoy these precious photos of our two beautiful second generation girlfriends!
Emma was not quite sure what to think about Kynslee at first.
Though Emma was all about the bow, Miss Kyns continually attempted to pull off Emma's shirt. I am pretty sure she was digging the purple.
