Winter Jammies

Winter is quickly approaching and the nights are often becoming very cold, especially for South Texas. We have even had several nights where the temperatures have even plummeted into the mid-twenties! With the impending colder weather quickly approaching I knew I needed to find a way to keep Emma nice and toasty at night without having to give her a blanket. Not only are blankets a hazard because they impose a greater risk of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), but they also do little to no good in keeping Emma warm at night due to the fact that she is becoming quite mobile and often moves about in her crib. As many of my readers already know, I do not spring for infant pajamas based simply on appearance. There are so many incredibly cute pajamas out there, especially for little girls. However, having to button up twenty individual buttons while my daughter rolls around and attempts to crawl away from me solely for the sake of ensuring she looks cute while asleep, is in my opinion, not worth it! Above is a photo of Emma in her new winter pajamas that I picked out for those extra cold nights. They are called blanket sleepers and can be found at Target for $10.00. Not only do they zip up (a necessity if you ask me), but they are also footed and are made out of a soft fleece fabric. Perfect for keeping our little bundle nice and cozy during those long, cold, winter nights!
