Our Little Turkey's First Thanksgiving and the Big 24 for Mommy

Yesterday we celebrated our first Thanksgiving with our little gobbler along with my 24th birthday. Since marrying Issac almost five years ago Thanksgiving has become my favorite holiday. It is a special day that we celebrate together as a family and is one that is never shared with anyone else. Issac and I both LOVE to cook and prepare for Thanksgiving for DAYS! We make every single item that goes onto our table homemade utilizing nothing but fresh ingredients. Everything is always amazing and since we share the holiday with only each other we are able to feast on the fruits of our labor for days on end. Though the food is to die for, my favorite part about this day is always the time I am able to spend with my husband. From the shopping, hours on end in the kitchen together, and then finally the big meal, we are able to spend so much time together and always have a wonderful time doing so. Since beginning this tradition in 2006 I have been anxiously awaiting the day that we would finally be able to share this joyous tradition with a little one. Unfortunately with Issac being deployed this year, we were forced to spend this first Thanksgiving as a family of three apart. Despite Issac's absence, Emma had a great time and I think it is safe to say that she loves Thanksgiving just as much as her Mommy and Daddy.

Issac, I missed you so much this year but I am so thankful to have you and Emma in my life. You are a better husband than I could have ever dreamt of and I thank you for choosing me to be your wife. Thank you so much for all of my birthday gifts and for the Thanksgiving gifts you had delivered for Emma and myself. They are beautiful and really helped to brighten my spirits on what was a difficult day. I love you always and cannot wait to celebrate the holidays together as a family next year.

Below are a handful of photos from our little Turkey's first Thanksgiving. Everyone enjoy :)

Emma's Thanksgiving surprise from Daddy. A gorgeous Ralph Lauren outfit!
The card that accompanied Emma's gift.

The card that accompanied my 1.5 dozen red roses and a teddy bear. He's a keeper :)

Our little turkey dressed to impress!

Giving the Dallas Cowboys a GIANT thumbs DOWN for playing a horrible game!

She loved every single thing on the table so much so that she refused to let me eat. Thankfully Auntie Char took over and I was able to indulge in the delicious meal.

Our Thanksgiving surprises up close.
