Most of you are familiar with the
equestrian facility that my family owns in San Antonio. As a child I was fortunate
enough to have the wonderful
opportunity to ride horses. I started literally as soon as I was able to sit up. My Mom would put me in the saddle in front of her and let me ride with her. I continued ridding until a little over four years ago when Issac and I were stationed in North Carolina. Up until a few weeks ago I had no ridden a horse since being stationed up there. Thankfully, since we are staying for several months due to this deployment, I have had the fantastic
opportunity to do a little ridding! I take Emma to the barn with me just about every day that I am in San Antonio. Though I do not ride every day that I am there, I always make it a point to take her down there so that she can pet the horses. She loves it and has no fear despite their massive size. The first time I introduced her to a horse I was slightly weary and wondered how she would react. Instead of becoming frightened and
burying her head into my shoulder, she simply smiled, let out a big giggle, and reached out and touched the horses nose. No fear what so ever! Since she has now been around them quite a bit she is very
accustomed to them and takes great pleasure out of being able to walk around and pet the various horses on the property.

Not only does she love petting the horses but she also loves watching Mommy ride! Though I am not the hot shot rider I was four years ago, I am still decent. Emma cannot tell and loves watching me ride despite my flaws. Every day at the barn with my little Emma-Bear is a blast and I
thoroughly enjoy taking her out there. This girl is CRAZY about animals and seems to adore horses just like her Mommy!

The above picture is of me ridding an 8 year old Therobred named Thunder. Great horse!
