Today we celebrated Emma's very FIRST 4th of July! What a beautiful day we had surrounded by friends and filled with TONS of time together as a family. Since lights seem to be Emma's favorite form of entertainment at this juncture in her life, you can imagine how much she enjoyed watching the brilliant display of colors during the fireworks. Along with today being Emma's first July 4th, she also attended her first BBQ. She seemed slightly unsure about all of the loud and very hyper active children that were running around but after an hour or so was snoozing away in Daddy's arms content as can be! We are so blessed and I am so thankful for my husband and daughter. As we were watching the fireworks I took a moment to appreciate the time I was spending with them knowing that with Issacs career, this will not be possible every year. I try my best not to be saddened by the many holidays that Emma and I will be spending without Issac and rejoice in the fact that we are making these sacrifices in order to better the lives of other families. Freedom would not be possible without the sacrifice of others and though difficult at times, I am prouder than ever to be a military family and even more proud to be a military wife. I hope to instill this sense of pride in Emma as she grows older, because after all, she really has an amazing Daddy. We love you Issac and are so proud of the person you are! Thank you for all you do for our country and for our family!!
Thank You Issac for your dedication and sacrifice! It really doesn't go unnoticed!!
